The most powerfullest production crossbow to date, capable of speeds of 335 ft/per sec, 15 1/4 inch draw stroke, elipticle cam for increase power, good scope rail, light weight alloy construction, stylish looks.
Being a compound is a little difficult for re-stringing in the field as a bow press is needed, do not ever under no circumstances dry fire this weapon as it will dammage the cams, strings and cables and possibly the limbs, i know this because i forgot to load a bolt, which happens!! very tacky plastic peep scope and fore sights which doesn't do the bow justice
The Barnett Quad 300 is a top notch Crossbow,not for the faint of heart as its incredible power, a complete waste of time for anybody who does not have a field to fire it in. It is a hunting bow capable of taking large deer, but remember hunting with crossbows is illegal in the uk. It is hard on targets because of its power so you need to construct some thing that will absorb the incredible power and not damage the bolt. I use foam rubber from old sofas compressed down under a tarpaulin covered over with rubber matting off of a conveyour. It is a very exciting piece of equipment but i feel its a little over priced £350 as in the states they go for $200, another example of rip off britain, you might be lucky to pick up a second hand version off of ebay for £250, but beware check cams for damage and limbs for cracking due to dry firing, it really doesnt do it any favours, compared to something like an exomag which will handle the odd accidental dry firing. The peep scope arrangement is a bit of a let down so thats the first thing to be replaced by a decent scope or laser dot sight, all in all a nice bow that needs to be treated with a little extra respect, due to its incredible power and its easy damage factor.
