Fantastic feel-good musical and dance extravaganza!

General Comments
Hairspray the Musical is fabulous, and made me feel on top of the world.
Michael Ball undergoes an amazing transformation to become Edna Turnblad, who herself undergoes a transformation in the show, accompanied by gentle and loving hubbie Wilbur, played by Mel Smith.
The other revelation is the two new stars, Leanne Jones who is inspirational as Tracy, who wants to appear on The Corny Collins show and who tackles and starts to win the fight for the new black friends she makes to be equally treated on the show and in life, and Ben James-Ellis who dances amazingly and becomes her handsome boyfriend, Link Larkin. I recommend this show because it is full of great, toe-tapping tunes that will have you wanting to get up and dance, dance, dance, like Tracy does! The whole cast does a wonderful job. It is a colouful spectacular. Go while you can!
