Good Points

Their deluxe economy class, Evergreen Deluxe, make the trams-pacific haul a much easier trip at about a quarter of the price of a business class ticket. Business class seat and economy class meals. Evergreen Deluxe/Elite class is in the front (nose) of the 747 combi, the quietest part of the plane, makes for good sleeping. EVA provides passengers with quilts instead of the typical paper thin blankets, very comfortable.
Boarding was very orderly at all points, something that is not common on similar carriers. Service was friendly and attentive. Meals were adequate, but nothing special. Hot noodles were available, on request, as a snack between meals. Restrooms were spotless throughout the whole flight. I was also impressed by the amount of space available for hanging garment bags, the closet up front was only half full on my flights, and has changed my way of packing on up coming trips. All flights were on time.

Bad Points

Unfortunately, EVA hubs in Taipei, one of the most uncomfortable airports in the world.

General Comments

My flight on EVA was what a long haul flight should be, relaxed and comfortable. I was extremely pleased with EVA Air and have booked several upcoming trips with them. The deluxe economy class is well worth the extra 20%.
