Good Points

Flight was cheap £250 return for 2 but bought because that was the date I needed to travel from airport near me.
Food was hot and tasty.


Bad Points

Asked for extra leg room - yes I am a big chap - and was given seat for such by very bored looking / non smiling attendant. Great - not really! As we reached the departure gate everyone was told it was a 'free seat' flight i.e get what you can where you can. This from the same girl who had given me a set seat with extra leg room. So OK stuff happens but it got worse.
Plane went to Malta via Newcastle but we were never told that this was to happen. First indication was when pilot said "Welcome to our flight to Newcastle.....". Thought we were on wrong plane until another passenger going to Newcastle told us this is what they do! So check.
Delay at Leeds while they refueled the aircraft while we were on board - fuel put in wrong tanks. Refueled again in Newcastle while we sat on aircraft.


General Comments

This airline are totally lacking in communication skills - as you will see from my posting about the return flight. If you can take another carrier - do so. They have one aircraft - an MD90 leased from Hello (Swiss but doesn't run like a well oiled watch) - which has seen plenty of hours. Lands like a bag of spuds being thrown at the runway from a mile up. Very noisy (twin rear engine) - get near the front - I bought earplugs for the return flight - bliss!

My review here is for this flight alone - the return was a nightmare solely due to the standard of the British Jet Com rep in Malta, and the state of the hotel we were sent to which I understand is owned by the same people.

Airline reportedly changes hands in May - bought out by Air Malta who are to operate it as Malta Bargain Airline.
