Bad Points

Their fees are not clear at all. They quoted us an 'all-in' figure for estate agency fees and conveyancing which in fact was not 'all in' and has left us with a bill for around £500 more than we would have payed with a different estate agent and separate solicitor.

They claim to be 'service orientated' and in fact seem to do virtually nothing for their fee.


General Comments

I feel that YourMove are not at all forthcoming about the level of fees you will actually be paying to them and that their service is extremely poor.

When the sales person came around, we sat with him and discussed other fee quotes we had had from competing agents which we stated included VAT. The figure he quoted us for fees, however, did not include VAT, a point which he failed to mention. He also failed to mention that their fee was in fact not 'all in' because it doesn't include legal disbursements.

Their claim to be service orientated is also erroneous. They never bother phoning and it is always us chasing them for updates.

Although we have eventually sold our house through them, I would never willing have any dealings with Your Move again.
