We didn't crash!

The flight was approximately 30 minutes late. We were charged seventy five pounds for overweight cases. For a long haul flight such as the 10 hours we had to endure screaming kids racing up and down the aisles blocking the gangway for the staff and nobody seemed to care that the stewardesses were unable to access the aisles yet my husband and I were told on several occasions to put our seats into the upright positions for the comfort and "safety" of the passengers behind us. We didn't expect first class travel but we were treated like cattle. There were no seat back TV's, tiny seat pitches, rubbish on the floor, rude staff, and very very poor food. The lunch that we were served after approximately 9 hours of flight was a single slice of stale pizza - lovely. I would rather have traveled to Jamaica in a canoe. We have been far more comfortable on a Virgin Atlantic flight and had more leg room. The temperature was cold and we were informed that the temperature would be raised as there was a five pound charge for a blanket! The temperature was raised fractionally. There are no complimentary drinks and only the one meager hot meal and the tiny stale pizza slice served during the flight. A little bit of terbulance prevented the staff from serving the second drinks after the stale pizza but didn't make the noisy brats sit in their seats and put on their seat belts. As our holiday was also a second anniversary I requested a bottle of champagne be presented to my husband as a surprise during the flight. I was told by the airline that I would have to request this exactly one week before the date of our flight. The arrangements were all in place, the champagne was paid for and I anxiously awaited the presentation during the flight. After 4 hours and no sign of the champagne I went to see the stewardess to enquire where it was. I was told that there was no record of the champagne being ordered and I would have to purchase another bottle. Needless to say the surprise was ruined and I ended up buying two bottles in order to save complete disappointment and to drown our sorrows. This shoddy outfit is an absolute pantomime. It was an extremely unpleasant and miserable journey and I would definitely not fly My Travel Airlines again - ever!

I would rather stick needles in my eyes than use this mickey mouse outfit again.
