Error messages
The Sonic DVD software is given away with most Dell computers.
The first thing I wanted to do is simply put some still photographs on DVD imported from the internet.
In theory it should of been a very simple task but in practice it was not.
After waiting 10 minutes "disc error" appeared and after swapping to other new blank DVDs the same message kept appearing.
Finally when it burned onto the disc the results were poor.
On a moving slideshow there were awful dropouts.
The next thing I did was insert a DVD recorded from TV using the top of the range Philips 1000 DVD recorder.
On the disc there were 16 individual titles however when importing into the Sonic these titles where not divided properly into 16 titles but far more.
It soon became apparent that trying to record a few titles from the disc would be impossible.
Once again Disc error messages came up on my computer monitor.
It's quite understandable why Dell give this CD Rom away, it's a waste of time and effort.
I have now deleted the software from my computer and am looking for a decent DVD burner/edit Rom.
