None really apart from the fuel consumption which isn't that bad for a powerful sports tuned V8- but I am comparing it to my last car which was a common rail diesel giving me 650 miles per re-fill, so, on that basis, no negative points really!
General Comments
The price I paid for my Audi S8 4200 second hand (10K for a car that was 70K 6 years ago- ouch!), incredible engine that also looks amazing nestled under the bonnet- top drawer interior and exterior quality- the gloss in the top coat lacquer after 6 years is unbelievable- looks like it's just been driven out of the showroom and I intend to keep it that way. This is the sort of vehicle that turns heads and gets you noticed- even it it is nearly 7 years old now. The rarity value of an S8 is probably the best thing, you just don't see them on the roads at all. I know of only 2 other S8s where I live, and thats an area with a population of over a million people. It is a head turner to say the least! You don't really even see many normal A8s come to think of it either. I'm 33, when I bought it and my mates saw it for the 1st time they reckoned I'd bought an old mans limo- then I took them for a cross country drive- now they understand! I am completely in love with my S8 and even now, 6 months on, I find myself standing on my drive gazing lovingly at my gorgeous car, sparkling in all its finery, and its MINE!! For 10 grand!! What would you buy, a Ford Focus for 10K or one of the fastest, largest, most exclusive executive saloons on the road?
