expensive to eat and drink there

General Comments

I arrived at the Africamar Apartments in C'an Picafort at 10-30pm, went to the bar for a vodka and was charged 10 euros (£7)... so i never ate or drunk at the place the entire two weeks, and so did many other guests. The cutlery was tarnished and dirty.its on a busy main road. so there is some noise at night. This will be my last ever time to the Balearics or Spain. The euro has killed the place.it was much the same all over C'an Picafort. The days of cheap Spanish holidays are far gone.we took £1000 for the two weeks and we couldnt eat out much at all.Far too expensive,if you went out for a chinese and a bottle of wine it worked out at £80...so No Spain no more for me...

I have a funny feeling i was on holiday in the Africamar at the same time as this person as i remember them complaining about the price of vodka!! Hope your keeping well if you read this!! I agree that it is quite dear to eat at the Africamar but it was really no more expensive than anywhere else in Can Picafort. I would go back to the hotel again. Very friendly staff and a lovely location very close to the beach.

    HI SHELL72....Hope youre well too.
I rememeber a lot of people form NI there.. It was a lovely hotel, and everyone has their own views. Although, these views are mine only, and don't wish to put anyone off going there. I do agree with you, it is was a lovely hotel and the staff were friendly. As I stated in my previous letter to the Review centre, it was very exspensive at the Africamar, and the resort itself too. I do know the hotel was recently taken over and can only improve. I have been to the Balearics about 12 times, and in my view the prices have more than doubled, and sadly to say i will not be going back to this Hotel or the Balearics...
take care Shell.. thanks for your views
