Its cheap because the service is almost non existent, and there is no customer back-up service.
We are not happy with Virgin Broadband. We have had to pay extra to get the service going and it is still not working. Virgin promised a new modem and over 2 weeks later we are still waiting. In the meantime no internet. When we talk to them they say they will follow it up but cannot call us back to let us know what is happening because they "do not have call follow up". Nor do they have technical support for customers - you are on your own. All they can give you is a "follow the instructions" guide but if there is a problem there is no technical back up. What kind of company cannot phone you and let you know what is happening? They are now in the business as a telcom and that involves phones and internet.
