- Have you made a claim?Yes
There are NO good points. While you think you're getting a competitive insurance policy, by the time you've made 50 plus phone calls to get money that's rightfully yours - it would be cheaper to have chosen a more expensive policy.
Bad Points
Far too many bad points to list but to name a few...
1. They don't answer your calls.
2. Won't accept liability for claims until you make a complaint.
3. You constantly have to phone them (in my case every day) to get your money back.
General Comments
My pet had an accident in August this year - my vets fees exceeded £3000. It took me 6 weeks to get an admission of liability for the claim from EandL - and only got one then as I threatened to speak to the FSA about the company. When they finally got round to offering a settlement figure and had my acceptance, (which I sent 4 times to ensure they got it) I had to chase them on a daily basis - got lied to about the cheque being printed etc and they only sent it out when I threatened to speak to the National Newspapers about the company.
My advice to anyone who is with this company is look for an alternative insurer or if you have to make a claim then make sure you,
1. Record EVERY phone call and correspondence including dates and times.
2. Send everything via Registered Post so you have proof they have received your letters etc.
3. If you have trouble getting you money there is plenty of information on the FSA website - read it and know your rights.
4. Advise them you'll speak with the FSA and Newspapers - it'll kick them into touch and get you your money!
