Bad Points

A long wait before I got the "Explanation of Benefits". They do not answer your claim questions over the phone, not even after you have verified your personal information.

General Comments

We have had the Veterinary Pet Insurance for about a year; paid annually. We opened VPI insurance to cover our Rottweiler in case of any major accident. A month ago he ran over a ball and did hurt his back leg. We had surgery done and he had cruciate rupture. It cost $3430.00. The VPI did not cover anything, not even a general anesthesia. We were left to pay insurance premiums plus the whole cost of the surgery. The explanation I was given by customer service was that they do not cover it in the first 12 months, not even an anesthesia. Well, they did not mind to take the money for the premium even though they do not provide the coverage.
