Bad Points

Charge you an unreasonable amount of fees and then demand payment via a checking account before you even get the card.


General Comments

I refused to activate my card and canceled it. Continental Finance sent me an email saying that they had closed out my account and that I owed them nothing since the card was not activated...thank God I kept the email! Two weeks later I received a bill saying that I owed them 100 dollars (two payments). Then the phone calls started and have not stopped, two months later. Now I am getting late fees and over draft charges on a card that I CANCELLED AND NEVER USED!!! I finally called the number that showed up on my ID not the number that they give you as customer service and received a very rude person . He said we called you because you are behind on your payments...I read him the email from HIS company and told him that the card was never activated and that I had destroyed it. He told me in a very rude voice that he did not understand why I called HIM if I did not have the card. I told him that I wanted the phone calls and letters to stop. He told me ... GET THIS... to ignore them and they will go away in a couple of weeks!!
