It is compact, quick and effective and compares favourably with the Gaggia Carrezza (my previous machine).
Lightweight brew head and Briel recommend that no parts can be washed in a dishwasher.
Since opening the box the Briel Versatile Due has been a doddle to use. I particularly like the metered dose feature which means that you can concentrate on something else while the machine produces the coffee.
Periodic maintenance is a simple de-scale which I have been doing every couple of months. Briel suggest 4 months, but I live in a hard water area.
I can't comment on the quality of the after sales service since I haven't needed to call on it. When I asked for some information direct from Briel the response was agreeably quick.
