Good Points

As many say here, price may be reasonable.
Advertisement looks good and convincing, however don't believe what You see on the surface.
The settlement in the end with OTELO was fair and reasonable.

Bad Points

Technical problems for 1 year. Call centre Staff say different things, no efficient link with departments, Complained to P.O.H.p. Complaints and Escalations Team, no one gets back to You. OTELO said P.O.H.P have a Product Mgr. They say they don't. But later they admit to having one.

Complained to OTELO to see if P.O.H.P improve. Settlement resulted in no bill or landline charges for a year, but the worry the unsettled account for 1 year made it frustrating. Personal services and getting back to Customer is very poor.
We had 2 accounts and the billing system poor, every 3 months, i can't figure out what the advantage is for the Company to have a 3 month billing system. It sure isn't for the customer.

Alot of Phone Companies want the money but the service and the Customer care is poor. Best to refrain from Post Office Home phone especially if You are Elderly or Foreign National for You will have head aches for more that a year just trying t o reach Supervisory Staff.

The computer gets the blame all the time. A technical problem they say. Takes the responsibility off the staff who go home and wipe the dust of a hard days work. The Customer is last these days. They may say Customer First but we all know the laziness of Staff in these Phone Companies.
Why is it so hard to get to Complaints Departments to resolve quickly phone technical problems.
If You want a line problem fixed BT are better than most. If you pay line rental toanother phone company getting the problem fixed is not easy. One company says sorry we don't make a call for repair, because the line rental is not paid to them.

So back to BT even though they had over charged Us on calls and after refund many months later, is not good business practice.

Post Office Home Phone are best at posting and selling stamps not phone services. Customer Beware.

General Comments

After one year of technical problems and poor Customer services in resolving problems, I would like to share in depth this consumer experience for t here w as a lot of problems with reaching Staff.

I am willing to compile a complete Customer dissatisfaction review story.
Customers must be better treated than the way Businesses cheat , deceive, put off, delay, blame the pc, and collect our money, what kind of service is that when the Company wants the Customer to pay their bill on time, yet Companies can meddle and give Customer poor service.

By staying with BT better the Devil You Know !
Advice, If You have a complaint take it to OTELO. Your situation has to be with no resolve or come to a dead lock in approx 7 months, and not over a year or there abouts.

Taking Your complaint to OTELO can be a step in improved service for the NEXT Customer. Thats why I persisted to the end, to say, IF the Phone Co. wants Our money then better They get to work and ensure communications are relayed to all Departments and work completed, and reduce the so called technical problem syndrome.

And to not tell the Customer " no, We do not have a Product Manager " which You must take Your complaint to first say OTELO.

The high pressure sales men at the start of Post Office Home Phone was a news story on BBC News last year and this year.

The sad part is that Elderly People can be left unfairly treated as my Friend was who I helped by making this complaint to OTELO.

Wish I had read other Peoples' stories on line first.
With hesitation its' back to BT.
I even wrote a letter few weeks back to BT expressing concern in coming back to BT and no reply.
When it comes to money they are all there, but anything else, the customer takes back seat.
