General Comments

Do not ever buy anything from this company. Maybe, if you are lucky enough to have everything go well from the start, it will be ok. But the instant something goes wrong, forget it. We bought our washing machine from Dixon in August which was delivered faulty - it leaked. Now, in the middle of November, we still have no working washing machine. You have to be at the beck and call of their delivery service, which works on an automated computer agenda setting basis. We have had three attempted deliveries, all of which we have taken days off work for. For two of them, they reported we were not in when they attempted to deliver, which we were. The third they just "forgot to plan". When something goes wrong, Dixon is not in a position to solve the issue. They give a lot of meaningless apologies... We've even written to complain - and their reply accuses us of lying about being at home when their delivery van came. Use at your own peril...

Did you know that if goods are not working you can claim expenses for using the laundry to wash your clothes and bill Dixons for it.
You just have to notify them by letter that you intend to charge them for your out of pocket expenses (not just the cost of the service wash but you can also charge for your fuel and time dropping off and picking up your washing).
I did this with a vacuum cleaner that was faulty, when I felt the company was dragging their heels sending a replacement.
After 2 months of phone calls ,1 letter stating consumer rights to charge for my time sweeping the carpets + cleaning dust thrown up from the brush off surfaces ,the response was very fast , 5 days later they picked it up and let me choose a replacement of another make.
