General Comments

I took out a policy with E and L 3 years ago and read the comments on here with horror. I had never claimed until earlier this year when my dog developed a poisonous abcess and needed emergency treatment. When I advised E and L, they immediately claimed that the abscess was linked to a recent castration op and advised me that they would decline any claim. My vet wrote to E and L and provided a huge amount of detail to prove that the two things were unrelated. E and L finally agreed to pay but waited 2 months to write and offer settlement. It then took a further 2 months and daily e mails and telephone calls to finally get my cheque.

I have now changed companies and would not recommend E and L to anyone. They are slow, inefficient and only responded when I hassled them. Claim took months to be processed and they are happy to not inform customers as to the status of claims and payment times claiming "a cheque is in the post" when I believe it has never been sent as it takes so long to arrive. They may be cheap but the hassle if you need to claim is not worth it.
