General Comments

Stayed two weeks 17.10.2007 - 31.10.2007. Arrived with some trepidation after having read reviews but were more than pleasantly surprised. Room excellent though felt there should be tea making facilities and you should not have to pay to use the fridge. However, dining room staff, cleaners and reception staff very welcoming. Food first week excellent but fell off during second week due we thought to the fact that it was the last week of the season and they weren't keen to buy in more provisions. Location absolutely first class - lawns down to the sea, brilliant pool area and no "bagging" of sun beds as in many other hotels - mixed nationalities, many Germans and Norwegians. Entertainment staff few but they worked hard with the limited props they had and were excellent. The "resident" musician murdered more songs in one evening than you could ever imagine. We assumed he knew someone up high in the Tsokkos hotel chain and we were right - his Dad is apparently a friend of the owner - no way would he have been allowed to perform there otherwise - seriously deluded young man! Would most definitely consider staying at the Anmaria on a future visit to Cyprus.
