General Comments

I will state that I was never late or over limit on this card in the two years I used it in college HOWEVER I have recently had a problem with it... I closed it over a year ago. In Sept 2006 I paid it off and closed it only to get a forwarded piece of mail this year stating that not only was an annual fee charged this year but it was past ue... on a closed account. I finally got in touch with someone in India who said "well do you have proof" I told her I could give her the pay off date, the day I closed it, who I spoke with and a copy of the last statement I received from them reflecting a credit (last year) etc. She said "well the card has an annual fee" and I responded that it was inappropriate and I believe against the law to charge me fees on a closed account that has no balance. I am supposed to call back Friday. She said I could call this other customer service number but that they wouldn't talk to me because the account is in "delinquent" status... my closed account!
