Food when it arrived was OK
Bad Points
Service, attitude of staff, not enough cutlery, no table mats. food arrived late, lost the order also. No scotch in Irish Whiskey!!! No fish on Special Fish Menu!!
General Comments
I have sent an email to the Crown on Mon 05 Nov. Still no reply. This was a birthday celebration for 4. Service was appalling and staff attitude was bad. We did however receive a bottle of wine free of charge, because after nearly an hour we asked where our food was, they admitted the till ate the order. We ordered 4 sweets but only 3 came. They didn't know there was 4th. No steak knives they were being used or not washed. No scotch in Irish Coffee. This cost us £122. I am due to celebrate my birthday in early December and i am very dubious about returning to the Crown. I must also admit the Taxi driver did say it wasn't recommended anymore and to go elsewhere.

As with all big chains, they don't seem to care about building up a good reputation for themselves. They see customers as a necessary evil. I tend to avoid them these days and use family run restaurants. They put so much more into it and want to ensure you'll return.
