General Comments

We arrived at The Club Candan at approximately 16:50 having had a very pleasant flight from East Midlands to Dalaman, the coach (with Air conditioning) transfer (1 1/2 hrs) from the Airport to the hotel was totally hassle free with a good welcome brief from the Thomson's rep on-route. The coach arrived outside the pool side entrance to the hotel, which has a small ramp for disabled and easy luggage access. The hotel reception is accessed by walking past the poolside bar and round the side of the pool. Check in was very fast and efficient, we were shown to our room by a friendly porter, who took our luggage and showed us round as he gave a full demonstration of how to work the air conditioning system. The 2 bedroom room (1 double bed in room 1 and 2 single beds in room 2) was very modern clean and spacious with good fittings. the main living area had a TV, 1 3 seater sofa bed, 1 single chair sofa, dining table 4 chairs, 2 ring cooker, toaster, fridge, kettle and plenty of pots pans, plates and cutlery. The sink with an adjoining worktop was also spacious, with drawer and cupboard space. The bathroom was large and modern with a toilet (built in bidet), large wash basin within a vanity unit, bath with double door screen and an overhead shower (very powerful), and a hairdryer. The only down side to the accommodation was that there was not really enough wardrobe space. The pool/s are fantastic with plenty of sun beds (with padded mattresses). The slides are a big hit with adults as well as the children. The covered pool side bar/restaurant has 2 TV's, 2 pool tables, table tennis table. Drinks and food here are a little more expensive in comparison to other restaurants but good all the same. There is a internet/games suite poolside and a good gym in the basement. The hotel shop is quite expensive and has limited stock availability. With plenty of small supermarkets only a short walk away we would recommend using these. The staff at the kids zone club were very friendly and our kids loved the activities provided. The hotel location is very good, only a short walk to the nearest shops, pubs and restaurants, weekly market is a 2 minute walk, beach 10 minutes. There is a taxi rank by the side of the hotel run by Tom Jones and is very reasonably priced. A must visit is the Summer Rain Restaurant on the main road down to the beach. The food, drink and service is of top quality and very well priced. This is a hotel that we highly recommend and will be visiting again next year thanks
