General Comments
I paid about $60 for this gun and am just tickled with what I got for my money. Having owned gamo rifles before, I knew the creepy trigger would be an issue and ordered a trigger replacement for about $30. Yes it cost half as much as the gun but it makes the gun shoot 10 times better. At 10 yards it was shooting 1/2" groups with open sights. After mounting up a 3x9 scope in a one piece mount, I moved the target to 15 yards and was shooting 3/8" groups. Not to bad..... I tried to mount a compact sized 6x scope but the scope rail grooves don't extend far enough back to allow proper eye relief. It was no problem with a full size scope. Thrre is no provisions for a scope stop but I have had no problem with scope creep with a one piece mount. Yes the gun has a plastic shrouded barrel but it seems to shoot just fine. It locks up nice and tight. The wood on the gun is fairly decent for a cheap gun. There is an abundance of spring twang when the gun is fired. This will most likely go away when I take the gun apart and tune it.....very easy to do. Compared to the larger gamo guns, this one isn't nearly as hold sensitive. At 40 yards the gun still had enough power and accuracy to hit take out starlings. I wanted this gun to be an inexpensive plinker and pest bird gun that I can keep by the back door and not worry about banging up my expensive guns. Seems like I got what I wanted.
