Good Points
It suits my needs, I sew garments for myself and do commissioned costume work. It's a very simple machine to work with and the metal parts make me confident that this machine is built to last. I am very happy with it. It can do heavy duty work too. I used this to stitch through soft leather for a costume. It did beautifully.

Bad Points
It's a little basic for hard-core crafters. It offers a variety of stitches but certainly not as many as say a new digitized machine. It's not bottom of the barrel nor is it top of the line. It will take care of basic needs though.

General Comments
I received my machine as a graduation gift - I'm so happy with it I wouldn't dream of trading it in. If you're looking for a good machine that will take care of basic sewing needs and will last a long time, this is a good choice! I love my machine.
