General Comments

We had an Ariston previously and it gave good service with no problems for over 12 years, due to its age when it developed a problem we decided to replace it. We decided to stay with an Ariston because of the good service life we had had from the previous machine so we replaced it with a Margherita 2000 AWD112 in February 2004. Towards the end of 2005 the control knobs started to break up, as parts were under guarantee we contacted the service dept. it would cost £90.00 call out fee/labour to replace the knobs (5 minutes work) - no way! So I purchased 2 sets of knobs (6 in total) at a cost of about £37.00. By the beginning of March 2006 both sets had gone the same way, we are now on the fourth set (including the originals) which were supplied as a goodwill gesture by Indesit.
Any one else had similar problems please, respond on this site so I can use it to argue my case with Indesit.
