Benifits; luxuries; specialities; "hands-and-knee" effect
Annual Fee
I was invited to join this program a while back. I am concert pianist and my revenue/ income is around 150K a year -- that is given a good year on tour and before life-need-deductions. At first, I was extremely excited to have -- more like possess -- this card. I will admit, however, it it did stir some buzz when I went to Neiman Marcus, Costco, and other major retail stores; more for my wife than I, however. I just never spent the required amount each year. I cautioned my wife on such luxury purchases. Now, a Chanel bag or something from time-to-time is fine. I never intended to ever spend 250K a year, it has long been cancelled and I am very satisified with my Platinum AmEx which I received when I was 18.... 10 years later, I am still satisfied with it. I think people still have the same outlook on AmEx cards of all kind, not just the Black Card. To me, American Express means Elite!
