Good Points

At first I thought this was an ideal location as the ad said the "Nuvolari" apartment on Via Nicoli V was "steps" away from the Vatican. The map showed it to be so. What it didn't say was that it was 78 BIG STEPS down and UP from the street and then 200 meters from Saint Peter's square. These were BIG STEPS to climb to get to any grocery, internet or any other location including a taxi stand.

Bad Points

The bed didn't work. The sofa bed fell apart when my guests were asleep in it. They tumbled onto the floor. We clearly booked this apartment for two. Rome City Apartments listed it as sleeping 3 and said it had a Queen Sized bed and a double when it really had a 'half bed' and a sofa bed that didn't work.

General Comments

The owner was never informed by Rome City Apartments that there were two people staying here, not one. He was unapologetic about the sofa bed. He kept saying it was his mother's apartment but wouldn't pay to have the sofa bed fixed. The oven didn't work. There was a huge hole in the bathroom floor. How could you cook without the oven?? The freezer didn't work either.
No apologies or no refunds.
We ended up going to a hotel after two nights of being ejected in the middle of the night from the sofa bed.
This after paying in FULL for six nights lodging. No refund and no response from the owner. I ended up moving out the last night and going to a hotel after not feeling safe in the same place due to loud noises and goings on at 2 and 4 am the night before in the hall of the neighboring apartment. I reported this to the owner and he said it was normal partying when the web site advertised the apartment as being VERY QUIET. Avoid "Rome City Apartments" in general.
