Good Points

Well built, lots of space, good driving position and lots of extras included.

Bad Points

Suspension is a little too rigid and the dealers tend to leave your car dirtier than when it arrived (rather than valet it as most other manufacturers do).

General Comments

I've had my Kia Sorento (2.5 CRDi XS) from new. I must confess as a previous BMW driver I initially struggled with the badge snobbery of the Kia and tried all I could to convince myself it was an BMW X5 that I "needed" - until I test drove the Sorento and realised for half the price of a used X5 I could get a brand new fully loaded Sorento. Besides the steering column requiring replacement (under warranty) it has performed well and is a comfortable drive (albeit the suspension could do with softening up a bit). Back to the image thing - I went for black bodywork, privacy glass, side running board, along with the chrome door mirrors and the oatmeal (cream) leather interior - and although a touch bling it pleases my eye too.
Some practical info:
- The stereo aerial could do with being rubber and placed on the car roof rather than metal and on the wing.
- Would be nice to have an integrated stereo system - quick release are so 80's.
- The indicator control stick would be better located on the right of the steering column not the left side.
