Good Points

Business class seats were very comfortable and on board service and staff were great


Bad Points

Both flights were badly impacted by Kenya Airways canceling the previous flight without notice and pushing all those passengers onto the next flight (ours). The flight out of Nairobi had had TWO previous flights cancelled, and seats were over-allocated, so if you turned up at the gate after someone else with your seat, you didn't get to fly. Some people had spent over 28 hours at the airport with nowhere to even sit down. Also, on the flight out of London, we were told we had been canceled off the flight (after queuing two and half hours to get to checked in), and were then sent to the sales desk to queue for another 45 minutes. Finally the company we booked through were able to sort it out, but we had 15 minutes to get through security and to the gate before takeoff. They also scattered people traveling together all over the cabin. In the end the passengers sorted it out amongst ourselves and everyone was able to travel together with their companions. The plane was delayed both ways, with no explanation or even advice on the delay given.


General Comments

I suppose we were lucky not to be directly impacted by the cancellation, other than having full flights and seats being over-allocated, but I wouldn't fly with Kenya Airways again as the risk of the cancellations seems too high, and the ability of the ground staff to deal with these cancellations was woeful (particularly given that they seem to happen all the time, you would think they would be more practiced at it by now!).
