It is a good book to read. It allows children to read what was happening to the Jewish people before they go on to learn about the Holocaust when they get to year 9. The story tells it from a young boys point of view on how he sees things, which is sadly missed nowadays.

The book jumped a bit in places. It is not suitable for children in Primary School.

I am an LSA and the children i work with have just finished reading this book. They and i both found it good to read and they were asking questions in general about the way Jewish people were treated, it opened their minds and got them learning and exploring more. It is worth the read.
