Super comfortable.
I have owned Locusts before, and these are even better, but they are both nice.
The shearling I got on the inside is really nice and keeps my feet padded and warm.
The strap makes it way easier to adjust how tight your shoes are.
I can land tons of tricks I couldn't do before with these.
They look awesome.
Way more but it's 1:00 AM so hard to think of them.
They are bulky feeling, and pretty heavy.
When you are wearing them with shorts, or tight pants or anything they look huge.
I have needed new shoes for a while so I started doing research and remembered that I wanted Grasshoppers before but ended up getting Locusts because that's all the shop had. Locusts are awesome and lasted me 6 months of 8 hours a day skating until they ripped. I don't know how long these will hold up, but they are really comfortable, and affordable for the comfort and looks. The only bad part is that they're heavy and look funny with shorts on. Not a good combo for my gym class. (no pun intended...)
I skate a lot and can land more tricks than before with these. On other shoes like Etnies and DC the soles start to wear out after a day of hard skating, but with these, after 3 days of skating more than usual they look the same, except for the black turning blue, but that happens on all shoes that are black.
I would say the best place to order these shoes is Zappos.com. They have amazingly fast shipping, and I was surprised when I ordered them at 7:00 PM and they came at noon the next day. FREE overnight shipping. Man. If you are one of those people who can't wait to get your shoes order from Zappos.com.
I shouldn't be advertising though, this is a shoe review. I guess I'll summarize it into the categories I rated it on...
Comfort: These are amazing comfort wise, and feel awesome when I'm walking. After you wear in the shearling on the inside, or the leather in most cases, it is really soft and nice feeling. I have had leather before and I have to say I prefer leather on the inside of them, but the shearling is perfect right now because it's almost winter.
Style: I get compliments from friends on how nice my shoes look and how cool the shearling on the inside is, and I think they are cool. The black upper/gum sole looks really cool.
Performance Enhancement: I can't run any faster, or jump any higher in them, but I can skate way better. I used to have trouble with grip, and thought that it was my shoes, and when I got these I was still having trouble but not as much. I guess it's my grip tape... Anyways, I can actually ollie higher in these, and it doesn't hurt as much to roll my ankles when I fall ollying stairs as it does in low-top shoes. Pretty cool...
Value for Money: I love them and am completely satisfied... and considering that other shoes only last me a month or two before being useless, 6-7 months on these saves money. Buy one pair of expensive nice shoes instead of lots of expensive crappy ones, it's worth it...
Overall Rating: 9.98/10
Those 2/100 are only missing because they look bulky when you wear shorts.
