I have the Humax F2 Fox T. It's reasonably easy to set up and use. I get an excellent picture. It changes programmes reasonably quickly. The handset is well designed.
I've had mine 2 years. I specifically didn't buy a Hard Drive and DVD with a digital converter because I reckoned they still had a long way to go. And wasn't I correct. This has never worked to its full advertised potential, the sound is awful and a bit muffled. The "i" information button only brings up full programme information after I've rebooted it. Now I frequently have to reboot it to get the BBC information on the red button. The people on the Humax helpline were unhelpful. I have a Loewe TV and a Panasonic HHD/DVD. They just were interested in getting the 3 to work together. There has been no update of the box program in 2 years.
I'm very disappointed in the Humax F2-FOX, because John Lewis highly recommended it. I expected it to last more than 2 years as I have no intention of buying a digital TV yet as the Loewe is such a delight, though rather large.
Because of the attitude of the helpline staff I would not consider buying another Humax product.
I still watch most of my TV on analogue. The picture's not so good but it's much easier to change programmes, look at Ceefax etc.
