I brought this policy to cover my car while I was driving to and from work in the country as I did not want to end up stranded. I purchased the top level of cover, thinking that I would be covered for most eventualities. I was involved in a road traffic accident late on a saturday night while travelling home from work. After ensuring that nobody was injured, I contacted the police who were very quick to respond due to the fact that the cars were blocking the road on a blind corner. The police contacted my breakdown company for me and informed them of the situation and that my car was now in an unroadworthy condition and was not safe to drive on the highway. Their response was that because the engine would still turn over there was no need for any kind of recovery even though the car could no be moved anywhere. They outright refused to recover my car even though my policy said I was covered in the even of a collision. The moral of the stroy is you get what you pay for. I have now returned to the RAC. This company did little more than willingly bank the money I handed over foolishly thinking I was getting top level cover at a bargain price. I will not make the same mistake again.
