No good points.
Wrong contract, wrong insurance, wrong calculation.
It seems they can't manage their cars and tow truck companies.
We're planning to rent a car for 6 weeks, got a car with Alamo Car Hire, the first week was ok. Then the car had broken.
We called Alamo Los Angeles, they never sent any tow truck or new car. We had to wait / talk on the prepaid cellphone for 2 hours. What we were talking about was mainly not the car, but the wrong contract. They messed up our contract, put someone's name on our profile. We told them the car # and key # and everything, but they said the contract name was not us. Well, that their mistake. We had to talk about this stupid thing with Alamo, then finally they arranged a new car, but said "wait for the car at there for another 2 hours or so" It was cold and I was 4 weeks pregnant. We didn't trust them because of the wrong contract, so we tried to close the contract. We called them again and again, but we could never reach to Alamo LA stuff. Customer service said the LA office was so busy and nobody pick up the phone, suggested us to go to the Alamo office without car. (We didn't take that new car they brought, since we're not sure what name was on the insurance) We rent a car from different company, and drove to Alamo LAX. They tried to charge us even we didn't have a car, and gas fee. How can you fill gas when the car's broken? We fight with Alamo and called our credit card company to make sure that Alamo won't charge us any illegal fee. We spend lots of energy to close the wrong account, had to spend a weekend without a car, tried to talk on phone for 16 times in 3 days. We're so tired of Alamo, wanted to leave that office ASAP. We still have a headache when we see the yellow "Alamo" name on the bus or something. They never called us back. All they it seemed they wanted to do is just charging us as much as we can. I don't recommend you to use Alamo at all. I still have no idea how they could messed up the contract name and the car.
