Good Points
Beautifully cooked food. Finely balanced flavours. Beautifully presented. Cheerful and friendly service. Modern relaxed atmosphere. Window tables good to watch the world go by.
Bad Points
Can be short staffed so waitress was slightly rushed, but charming. You need to book if you want to be sure of getting a place for Sunday lunch. Not a great deal of choice for vegetarians.
General Comments
Food to die for. I will remember my wonderful fish pie for years afterwards and I can still remember other individual dishes that I've eaten here. Zingy tasting creamy desserts. Spun toffee... Light batter....No idea how they get carrots to taste so carroty, and mange tout to taste so good. This place is run by a husband and wife team and they obviously put a lot of effort into making it a good experience.
Polished wood floors, and bare wooden table tops. Individual fuffy towels in the toilet with an interesting mirror reflecting tiny lights.
