General Comments

Cahoot Internet Bank offer a debit card that you lock away and don't use, but when you buy on the net you call up the software and it issues you with a different number and security info each time it's used, you also set a cash limit on the card each time it's used. I just keep sufficient funds in the account to cover internet expenses. You also get about 3.5% interest on the current account balance, well that's better than some high street banks. All in all its a useful device if you buy stuff, or book holidays etc on the net although there are better savings accounts out there.

I thought I could lock my debit card away safely until someone intercepted my new card and went on a spending spree just before Xmas. Cahoot have not refunded the money (nearly £3000) because I didn't notify within 60 days. Their security leaves a lot to be desired. They didn't notice extremely abnormal activity of 10 transactions in 3 days when only one in previous year. Replacement card sent in post with no extra security and no activation process. I'm extremely disenchanted with them and am trying to get a refund via the Finance Ombudsman service.
