General Comments

We have stayed in the Doubletree Hotel in Orlando twice, before cruising the Caribbean, as the location is excellent - right at the entrance to Universal and we like to go into City Walk in the evening. The rooms are spacious and clean with all the usual facilities and powerful showers. We did not eat in the hotel this time other than to snack at the excellent sea food bar just off the foyer (fantastic snow crab). However, the last time we had some excellent steaks there too. This time we had our 2 sons with us age 15 and 11 so they wanted to eat out at night (usually in Margaritaville!). For breakfast we went to Cracker Barrell, which is just a few minutes from the hotel and has a huge range of food on offer which is excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast is available in the Doubletree main restaurant and there are also some fast food outlets in the foyer ie. starbucks, a pizza outlet, deli etc. so if you have had a long day out and just want something quick it's right there. The staff are very friendly and helpful and at check-in and out were very quick. Also there is a desk opposite reception where they can tell you all you need to know about theme parks, prices etc.

There is nice pool area although we did not use this and a games room.

We would stay in this hotel again in the future.
