Bad Points

Caught in street and agreed to quote for two windows. Street rep advised measuring could be done from outside - said this would suit me and advised him that I would be available for 30 mins only. These companies must remember we all have very busy lives! Rep arrived - I returned home to meet her outside. Advised that I had 30 mins to which she said it was not long enough. Asked if I had a partner - obviously recognising the patter I said yes which is true - the partner does not live with me nor do they own any part of my own home which I own outright. Feeling annoyed with the question I said I would leave things there. I was told that the Glass and Window authority would not allow her to talk to me wihtout my partner being there. Decided that I would not explain myself if this rep was unable to phrase her questions better. She advised she would get her office to call me, I told her not to.
Today received a call from the company asking me to rearrange and again asked if I could give a date wehen my partner would be there. Decided to give the person a full explanation - he quoted 5 times that the Glass and Window directory insists that partners are present. Difficult as mine live several hundred miles away in their own home! Could have really upset some people. Will go to a local builder - lesson learnt.


General Comments

What a shabby crew - unfortunately from the comments overall about Zenith staybright they clearly not meeting customers needs. Perhaps some honest trustworthy management rolemodelling would naturally flow through to front line staff. Not rocket science but possibly too difficult for deep rooted unprofessionalism such as this.
