Bayside Salgados Apartments Review

Good Points
Jaccuzi's on the roof and at the side of the swimming pool, courtesy bus into Albufiera and a good quiz on tuesday evenings. The cats which are all over the complex.

Bad Points
Location too far from Albufeira. Very narrow winding stairs to the jaccuzi's and second floor apartments. No porters and seemed very short of staff

General Comments
When we arrived at Bayside Salgados Apartments it was absolutely pouring with rain we were soaked and immediately confronted by one of the staff demanding 50 euro's deposit for any breakages, together with a lecture, this has never happened to us before. No one was available to help with luggage and we struggled through the swimming pool area through torrential rain. The ground floor apartment smelt and the bedding felt damp, others complained of the same thing. The rain continued for the first few days with a mini tornado and everyone had a power cut. One morning I got up at 3.30am switched the lights on, they immediately went off, it was pitch black and although there was supposed to be a 24 hour reception, no one arrived until 8.00am. It was repaired at 9am, but every time we turned the electric rings on the lights went out. This was rapidly becoming the holiday from hell. A little girl got her foot stuck by the suction in the jaccuzi, there were no warning signs. In Bayside Salgados's defence I will say that all complaints were addressed and the friendly crowd of people there more than made up for any discomfort suffered.
