BEST OF ALL HALOWEEN
Lost two pounds in the drying machine and after being sent everywhere was told the old "not our machine" story, annoying but not the end of the world.
WE stayed at Alton Towers Hotel and the rooms were great, clean (no mold as i have read in other reviews) and cosy.
The atmosphere was also really fab as they had introduced Halloween at the time of our visit.
The Halloween entertainment in the hotel was unsurpassed, including meeting creepy crawlies, pumpkin patch treasure finding and stories for the kids and for the adults quizzes, room 13 and they had actually grown a corn field for th ultimate in Halloween frights., there was loads more including laser shows.
The hotel and grounds were all Halloween decorated, even the crazy golf - don't miss out on this if you go!
The swimming is great for ALL ages, really can't fault it all.
Breakfast, I recommend Alton Towers Hotel for your breakfast, you can eat at either Splash Landings or Alton Towers Hotel, although the evening entertainment is better at Splash landings hotel in my experience.
The actual park I can't help but feel is really for the early teens up to adults, really not a lot there for the little ones, although the surroundings are breathtaking and it is still my goal to spend a day just walking around the grounds (sorry to be so boring) but you'll see what i mean if you go.
Terror towers, a spooky tale through the ruins was my favorite but the longest queue, about an hour and a half - we had fast track tickets.
The rides are all fabulous - no queues when we went.
GO, you'll love it, we had a great time!
