It's worth every cent you pay for it.
Bad Points
Not a bad point but worth considering: The fifty will have a limited top speed and getting to that speed will take a bit of time. If this is not a consideration, then disregard.
General Comments
The Vespa LX50 is a beautiful machine built with classic styling. It is elegant and smooth and very reliable. When you replace the battery, go to one that is sealed so there is no fluid to add. This low speed machine may be perfect when the distances are short, or when speed is absolutely not a consideration. Remember, sometimes keeping up with traffic is an important factor in certain situations. Other times, it is not.
I have two new Vespa scooters purchased the summer of 2007 (GTS 250 ie and LX150). After much research and 22 years of Continuous Motor Scooter Driving, I can tell you that the Vespa is the best made scooter. The fifty will perform exactly as specified and will last an eternity if taken care of.
The resale value should be very high. This scooter should probably be a generational thing left to decendents so that they may have fond and loving memories of you for decades to come!
