Took delivery of my car (Astra SRI XP 1.8 VVT) on Monday, very pleased with service. Although the guy who delivered the car left no petrol in it. But thats not got much to do with buy a car. The car is just as I specified, no problems with the order at all. Was told 8 weeks came in 7. At the time thought it was a long order time, but after googling found the atra sri owners forum and 8 weeks was quick compared to others were being quoted. The saving was four grand under the Vauxhall web price! You just can't argue with that and as it turns out the deliver time was relatively quick.
I'm very pleased and will recommend to friends, been boring them about it a bit really. Just can't get over the massive savings!
The only bad point I can see is that the V5 will have one previous owner on it and that they keep the docs for six months. This is imposed on them by the manufactures so that the maindealer network is not undermind. (its all explained on thier web site, basic deal with all web based companies) To me this is a little price to pay to save 4k so I was not fussed at all.
Because they use drivers unless you specify a trailer delivery then the car will have a few miles on it when delivered, mine had 150. Again to me no big deal. I saved four grand!!!!!!!!!!
One mistake I made was not workout all my questions for them to start with. I was a little in the dark at the start of the process but that was more down to me being too excited about getting a new car not to ask the questions I should have. But they always answer the phone when I called and put my mind to rest. They give good feed back via email and emailed me with no prompting from me with the final delivery details.
