The Neptune 4000 looks great. It cleans clothes fairly well.

This machine is very unreliable.
General Comments
I have always owned a Maytag machine. My first set lasted for over 20 years, and was going strong when I sold my house. After owning the Neptune 4000, I will never own another Maytag. It is sitting here needing over $700 in repairs. The circuit board and door lock was already replaced after two years. The machine is now almost 7 years old and I am kicking it out the door. I have a service contract with GE and have been paying it for almost 7 years now, and you would think I would get them to repair it, but they tell me that it is not cost effective and will only give me 50% of the value of a replacement. Better read the service contract in it's entirety, right? Now I'm going to have a mismatched washer and dryer, because Maytag is the only one that makes a Bisque machine that even closely matches, and I'm not going near Maytag again. I found out about the class action suit after it was closed, so I can't get anything there. I've called everyone at Maytag and GE to get my machine repaired and no one seems to care.
