I first heard The Pretender on the weekend before V Festival this year and although this is a comparatively slow song for this mammoth band it is by no means lacking in any form. It did take a listen or two before the greatness shone through and the rocky and powerful vocals of Dave Grohl came across. Although the radio and album versions are excellent this is a song, that really comes into it's own when played live, as it did this year at V. For those of you that are going to see the Foo's on their tour in a few weeks be prepared to be blown away with this track as well as the whole set.

Foo Fighters the Pretender Lyrics
Excellent track, I would recommend this song for people who say they don't like the Foo's, this song has the potential to convert them to appreciate the genius that is Mr Grohl.
