Good Points

Looks and drives superb, fairly easy to maintain for the DIY mechanic.


Bad Points

lack of specialist part's available, huge rust problem.


General Comments

I've got a Ford Escort RS1600i and it's the best car I have owned. It drives superb and the looks are good too. It's fairly easy to maintain for the DIY mechanic but it's hard to find specialist parts, for example coils, sensor leads, ECU etc. Also there's a big rust problem that you have to fight with.
