General Comments

I bought this club to replace my Cobra 440 SZ unlimited which will be illegal in January.
I loved the 440SZ so naturally I chose a cobra club to replace it. I feel I made a big mistake.
The sound on impact is deafening and brings complaints from my playing partners and even other golfers on the course. Its a loud, high pitched tinny sound, very unpleasant. This club is not in the least forgiving and even with 12 of loft sends the ball low with no distance on many shots. Also the spread of shots and the variety i.e. fade or draw is greater.
I never had this problem with the 440SZ. I notice that the shaft has a low kick point whereas the 440 had a mid kick point. So maybe the problem is with the shaft.

i have just started playing more consistant golf and have been using an Arnold Palmer 10.5 RH driver. I had very big problems with the slice so I looked at the cobra offset 12 degree.
The result was immediate - little or no slicing and after 2 weeks I am getting good accuracy but the distance not as good as the 10.5. However better to be a few yards shorter and not in the trees!
My experience on elevation is that the 12 deg face gives me very high loft (possibly leading to shorter length) using a high set tee.
The contact noise is loud, but apart from that I am very pleased. The golfers I play with all want to use this club! with good results.
