General Comments

I booked Aplus Entertainment Children's Entertainers for my daughter for her party on the 13th of October. Aplus kept sending emails asking where my deposit was, even though it had already been deposited in their account. Something felt wrong and I tried to contact them to ask a few questions about my booking. I called them every day and was on the phone for 40 mins at a time. I emailed them and left phone messages and no-one got back to me. Then I cancelled the booking by email and letter within 7 working days. Two weeks later they asked for final payment and I reminded them that I had cancelled the booking. Somebody then phoned us (amazing) and asked for a copy of the email where I had cancelled the booking. We sent this on and then they cancelled the booking two weeks after I had cancelled it. They then told us we had cancelled on th 9th day and therefore still owed them £140. Following advice from trading standards I advised them that you are able to cancel after 7 working days and therefore my cancellation must stand. They have now told us they are taking us to court!! Well so will I to get my deposit back. This is a SCAM!

    All,

    I had problems with Aplus Entertainment where I had booked and then cancelled my booking within 7 days. They tried to strong arm and also threatened my with a court order to obtain £180. I contacted Consumer Direct and also my company's legal team. Thye found so many legal flaws in the Aplus Entertainment web site and conformed that I was clear and do not need to pay them anything.
