Very good value for money. Very good size pitches.Friendly staff. Clean and ample toilet/shower/washing up facilities which are free. Private Beach. Entertainment day and night.
The entertainment was aimed at the very young(under fives at the outside)and went on until almost 11pm most nights leaving no real time for any other age group, although there is a quiet adults bar downstairs. The toilet facilities are located at the bottom of a dark hill and as the site is broken in to staggered levels each level could do with a toilet block of its own.
The pitches were all of a very good size and the rates were in our opinion reasonable just £23 per night covered up to 6 people. The showers, toilets and dish washing area were free and cleaned to a very high standard daily, although they were a trek down hill and if you have a call of nature in the middle of the night that requires seated facilities then it does make for a dark and scary walk.
The prices in the site shop were the same as you would expect to pay in your local corner shop and had not been hiked up which is unusual. There was a chip shop and a cafe which opens at 12noon but there is no where to get breakast so be sure to have either cooking facilities or wait until the shop opens at 8am when you can get a sandwhich. The bar staff are all very friendly and we found that they referred to us by name even though there were hundreds of campers on site. The bar prices were actually cheaper than at home. The pools were lovely and warm and had ample life guard cover. There was a private beach only five minutes walk from our tent although it was a shail beach and walking on it was quite difficult. On the whole we had a really fantastic time and would recommend it to people who have a very young family but if your party are all adults or you have children are over 5 years old then maybe you should think very carefully about what you want in the way of evening entertainment.
