Good Points

The card was OK until they pulled a huge scheme of changing the terms of our original agreement.


General Comments

New customers of Capital One get a better deal than a 10+ year valued customer, where is the logic?? Was a great customer for over 10 years, always on time, charged thousands of dollars of stuff. Then all of a sudden one day they raised my apr from 6.9% fixed to 15.75% variable and changed the 30 day grace period to a 25 day grace period. This happened totally out of the blue. I called them, and all they said was you have another month to agree to the terms or "opt out" which basically meant cancelling my card and paying the remaining balance in full. If I had a lot of money on that card, I would've been forced to paying over twice the interest rate, for no apparent reason other than because they felt like it. They didn't value our original agreement at all. Will be doing business with someone else, and not carrying a balance if this is the way credit cards are going to go.
