Good Points
Excellent location on the beach road overlooking the sea. A 50 metre walk to the beach. Staff at the Latania very helpful.Manos the barman made us very welcome. Studios basic but a good size and clean.Even had a shower curtain which is something of a novelty in Crete. Attractive pool area. Relatively quiet despite its central location.

General Comments
We have visited Crete and Stalis on holiday many times as a family. This was our first visit to the Latania Studios, which we booked as a late deal when our normal accommodation was unavailable. We were amazed at the value for money the Latania represented compared to what we normally pay. Stalis is an over developed resort, but that said, it is not overly busy and everyone is very friendly. Buses are regular and very cheap so it is easy to go off exploring if you don't feel up to competeing with the Cretan drivers..

i would recommend Stalis and the Latania apartments for a family holiday, we would definitely stay there again.

One more thing, the Latania charge a euro a day to hire a sunbed round the pool but in exchange you can help yourself to free fresh coffee all day long. We heard one or two people moaning about this but we thought it was a bargain and a nice way of meeting other holiday makers.
