Motor and controller are good-the scooter is fast, climbs hill well, and doesn't pop the fuse. batteries are very good and it uses 48 volts. X-treme will honour the 30day warranty on any defective parts.
Bad Points
Back wheel bearings were not centred in the wheel. was sent 2 more that were also bad. This wobble made it impossible to adjust the chain tension and made a lot of noise. Finally got a decent wheel that was centre bored correctly on the third try. Seat is a joke-clamp might as well be made of butter. disc rotor was warped. You will have to tinker with these scooters to get them to run right.
General Comments
X-Treme X-500 has good power and basic design, but bad quality control. I did a bunch of upgrades including the seat and a suspension seat post to make it more comfortable. I now do not recommend ANY scooter without suspension for any distance riding, as small wheels make the ride very bumpy. I am going to try an upgrade to some front shocks.
